About Us
FarmShare2026
We started our farm in Oregon in 2005. My oldest daughter and myself. The start was simply alpacas but quickly turned into a craving to learn everything there was to do about cooking, creating and growing food. I never did like calling myself a farmer; I preferred saying that I grew groceries. With a new found love of the kitchen and a big passion for fresh ingredients only touched my own hands our little world slowly budded into a business. Sharing my passion of food and fresh unadulterated ingredients I found myself living in a world I didn’t call work. It was as simple as breathing. Just living each day, milking goats, raising what turned into two children, learning to cook with the freshest ingredients, caring for a variety of animals that would feed us in some part and caring for an ever growing garden.
After nearly 20yrs, the “shutdown”, a devastating fire in the Santiam Canyon, a family tragedy and my oldest moving for University my youngest and I decided it was time to find a new place to call home and headed out with no plan, just a truck 5th wheel and a country to explore.
Whether it’s God’s grace or a rogue accident we eventually found a new home in NW Iowa. Never once in my first 40yrs would I have thought, but here we are. After a few years of getting to know such a different climate than what we were used to we’re building back up our little world again. Cooking, growing, raising and now ready to share once again.
We hope you will join us in our journey here in Iowa and let us share our passion of cooking, creating with the freshest ingredients. No more worrying about if the meat you get at the grocery store is real or how long it’s been sitting on the shelf. No more worrying about what you’re getting with your milk, eggs or sprays on your vegetables. Most importantly, no worrying about if the share of meat will fit in your freezer because we’re making that more simple too.
