While we create a website worth taking a second look at check out our menu to see who we are and what we have to offer. Some people are great at websites, we’re great at growing food. So please ignore this mess. It’s a bit like our property that we moved to 4yrs ago. An old farm house and a few acres in deep need of lots of patience, love and hands on effort. If you’re in Iowa you can appreciate the patience and care it takes to move to a unhospitable winter without electricity or running water. Just a sense of humor and courage to make a new life. The first summer turned into a bit of the same with opposite demands, summer sweat, heat that drives anything able to go underground to seek cool. A touch or two of some windy sob’s and a few years later I sometimes wonder how crazy I am for not packing up the first year and heading to more acclimate weather. I didn’t though and through all struggles and mishaps we’ve come to call this place home. With all that said, please don’t let the much needed patience and humor in putting this website together deter you from who we are and what we do much better at; growing groceries, kitchen adventures and good hearted people who want to share our bounty and grow a community of people who appreciate fresh ingredients to cook with and food that you don’t have to question where it came from or how many people have handled it or how long it’s been sitting on a shelf.
